World Password Day is a celebration to promote better password practices. Passwords are essential gatekeepers to all of our digital identities, allowing us to access online shopping, banking, social media, dating, private work and life communications. Celebrate World Password Day by taking the pledge on PasswordDay.org, sharing a password tip on social media, or by changing an old password to a long, strong password.
There are four steps we consider when creating passwords.
• Step 1: CREATE STRONG PASSWORDS
o Your password should contain a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters (!, @, $, etc.), with at least one capital letter.
• Step 2: USE A DIFFERENT PASSWORD FOR EACH ACCOUNT
• Step 3: GET A PASSWORD MANAGER
• Step 4: TURN ON MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION
